Government of Telangana have issued orders constituting District Level Selection Committee for appointment of Anganwadi Teachers and Helpers and guidelines / parameters to be adopted by Selection Committee.
Director, Women Development and Child Welfare, Hyderabad has furnished revised proposal for re-constitution of District Level Selection Committee for appointment of Anganwadi Teachers and Helpers and certain modifications to the existing guidelines /parameters to be adopted by Selection Committee.
After careful examination of the proposal, Government hereby issue the following modification orders regarding selection committee, nativity, selection procedure for the selection and appointment of Anganwadi Teachers / Helpers:

| The candidate shall be a local married woman who is resident of the ward in respect of Urban area and Gram Panchayat in respect of Rural area where the Anganwadi centre is located.
In so far as tribal habitation is concerned, the candidate belonging to ST category should be from the same hamlet/habitation. For the Anganwadi centers/Mini Anganwadi centers earmarked for SC habitation, only SC candidates shall become eligible. |

The District Collectors are permitted to issue notification for filling up of vacancies relating to Anganwadi Teachers, Anganwadi Helpers & Mini Anganwadi Workers after undertaking the exercise relating to rationalization and relocation of the Anganwadi centers to meet the requirement of needy areas.
The Director, Women Development & Child Welfare department shall communicate the detailed guidelines relating to rationalization and relocation of Anganwadi Centers.
